"For Men may come and men may go, but the Clyde goes on forever"
Original Oil on Canvas approx A4 sized plus slip and dark grey frame £295

I don't know Glasgow very well and the colours of the sunset were made from left over paints on my palette. Watching the heartbreaking news of the last shipbuilding yards closing made me think how much the Clyde could tell us of Glasgow's turbulent history, an ancient river that has seen an empire, supported by shipbuilding, come and go right up to the present day. So I used various skylines facing west to compose the mid and foreground for this painting. The title comes from a poem by Tennyson.
